Home inspections include a structural inspection, FHA inspection, HVAC inspection, Radon tests, Mold tests, Meth tests, Roof inspection, Deck or Plumbing inspection, etc.. but it is not an appraisal. We do not estimate the value of the home; rather we evaluate the systems in the home through various means both traditionally and with Thermal Imaging technology. Electrical Home inspections and other evaluations of the plumbing, the HVAC, etc..estimate the approximate remaining lifetimes of these systems and determine whether or not they were installed properly, and correctly assess their current working condition.
The amount you pay for a home inspection from a certified inspector can potentially save you thousands of dollars in the long run. This is due to the expense of most of the systems in your home and the labor costs involved. You can request that any items found in a home inspection be taken care of by the seller or builder before you make a purchase.
